The 72nd annual Louisa Fireman’s Fair and Parade held by the Louisa Volunteer Fire Department began Wednesday, July 2 at the fairgrounds. Gates open to the public each evening at 6 p.m., with rides starting at 7 p.m. Armbands are available each evening for purchase for rides. On Thursday, July 3 , the parade will begin at 7 p.m. along West Main Street to Ellisville Drive and on to Main Street. Parade participants will continue to Fredericksburg Avenue until they reach the fairgrounds. Numerous awards can be won during the parade. There will also be a $5,000 raffle drawing on Saturday, July 5. Tickets can be purchased for $1 at local businesses or at the fairgrounds.
