When Bradley Pleasants went to open up his shop, Maddox Feed Store in Louisa, on Friday, Oct. 25, he was welcomed with the sight of a broken front door.

Sometime during the evening of Thursday, Oct. 24, the feed store was broken into. The perpetrators busted the glass out of the front door.

They must have had their own tool to bust open the door, Pleasants said, and knew where he kept his tools in the store, which were used to pry open the safe in the office.

To add insult to injury, not only was the safe pried open like a can of beans, but paperwork from the desks was strewn all over the floor along with calenders from the walls and a container of Sevin, insect control chemical was dumped all over the floor, into the office chairs, the desks and inside the safe.
