Saturday, Nov. 9

Foster Creek Baptist Church will celebrate Family and Friends Day weekend beginning on Saturday, Nov. 9 with a movie and snack from 4 until 7 p.m. The church is located at 4028 Jack Jouett Rd., Louisa.

 

Philippi Christian Church – T.E. Anderson Gospel Choir will host “On a Mission for the King” – 100  Men and Women Wearing Black and White beginning at 3:00 p.m. The guest speake will be Pastor Edgar Green, of Eden Ministries. The church is located at 7133 Jefferson Highway (Rt. 33), Mineral, Va.

 

Sunday, Nov. 10

Laurel Hill Baptist Church will celebrate its Usher’s Day at 3 p.m. with guest pastor the Rev. Arthur Green, of the Swiftford Baptist Church, Madison. His choir and ushers will accompany him. Springfield  Baptist Church will celebrate Family and Friends Day at 3 p.m. The Rev. Alonzo Minor, pastor of Bright Hope Baptist Church, Louisa, along with his choir, ushers and congregation, will be the special guests for the service. Lunch will be serviced immediately following the morning service. The church is located at 1042 Zion Rd., Gordonsville.

 

Foster Creek Baptist Church will continue its Friends and Family celebration during morning worship at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch. The Rev. Emanuel Harris of Jerusalem Baptist Church Manakin-Sabot of Goochland will be the guest at the 3:00 p.m. service.  The church is located at 4028 Jack Jouett Rd., Louisa.

 

Hopeful Baptist Church will host The Harvesters Quartet, a gospel music group from Sanford, North Carolina, in concert at 6:30 p.m. The church is located at 14340 Hopeful Church Rd., Montpelier.

 

Standing on the Promises of God Church will hold a gospel explosion at 3 p.m. Musical groups will include Dennis Shelton and the Testifiers, the Shelton Brothers, Tammy Scott and others. First Baptist Church will celebrate its annual Pulpit Aid services, at 3 p.m., with guest preacher the Rev. Frank Lomax of Goochland. He will accompanied by his choir and congregation. The church is located at 102 Meadow Ave., Louisa.

 

Wayland Baptist Church will welcome the Rev. Leroy Mashore Jr., associate minister of Bright Hope Baptist Church, as guest speaker for the 11 a.m. worship service. Communion will be served.  The church is located at 1228 Oakland Rd., Louisa.

 

The Dominion Boys from Salem will be at Huntington Community Fellowship Church of the Nazarene at 11 a.m.  Formerly known as The Dominion Trio with Marvin and Nora Parsons,  this father/son team travels the U. S. singing and playing bluegrass, country and southern gospel music. The Dominion Boys love to sing and share the love of Jesus Christ with everyone they meet.  Admission is free, however, a love offering will be received.  The church is located at 147 Shortmans Rd., Mineral.

 

Sunday, Nov. 17

New Line Baptist Church will celebrate its Men and Women’s Day at 3 p.m. with guest preacher the Rev. Tommy Fleming,  pastor of  Emmaus Baptist Church , Goochland. The Thessalonia Baptist Church will observe Men and Women’s Day at 3:00 p.m.  The Revered Charles Booker, associate minister, of New Fork Baptist Church, Palmyra, Va., will be the guest speaker.  The Brooks Family will render the music.  The church is located at 278 Old County Road, Mineral.

 

Ebenezer Baptist Church of Mineral will have Family and Friends Day beginning at 3:00 p.m. The pastor of Mt. Hope Baptist Church, Reverend Dr. Monroe Smith, will be the guest speaker and his church family will be the guest for this occasion. Lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m. The church is located at 109 Pendleton Road, Mineral.

 

Wednesday, Nov. 20

The women at Louisa Baptist Church will begin a new study series on “The Circle Maker” by Mark Batterson at 6:30 p.m. Learn how to claim God-given promises, pursue God-sized dreams and seize God-ordained opportunities and, through it all, bring glory to God.  Big prayers yield bigger results. The church is located at 305 East Main St., Louisa.
