Gunshots fired at party in Louisa County

Update (Monday, Feb. 3) –  The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate Sunday’s incident in which gunshots were fired at a party on Mica Road and two people were physically assaulted.

Apparently, a man displayed a gun at the party and demanded money.  A fight ensued and a man and woman were both assaulted.  The woman was transported to University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.  It is unknown what her condition is at this time, but the injuries were not life threatening. A third person was shot in the buttocks.

No arrests have been made in the case.

Sunday, Feb. 2 – The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office is actively working a scene on Mica Road where a man pulled out a gun at a party and demanded money.  A fight ensued and a man and woman were physically assaulted. The female has been transported to University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville. A third victim was shot in the buttocks, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.  More information will be released as it becomes available.
