You are invited to participate in the Louisa/Fluvanna 4-H Targeteers Shooting Education Club for youth ages 9-18! There will be an informational meeting on Sunday, March 9 at 2:30 p.m. at Zion United Methodist Church, located at 1674 Zion Rd, Troy, VA 22974.
The 4-H Shooting Education Program strives to teach safe and responsible use of firearms and archery equipment including sound decision making, self-discipline and concentration and to promote the highest standards of safety, sportsmanship and ethical behavior. Disciplines that will be offered are .22 rifle and shotgun. Other disciplines that may be added later include archery, muzzleloader, pistol and hunting. If you have a child who enjoys participating in natural resources through target shooting, hunting, and related educational activities come join us and learn more the goals and objectives of the 4-H shooting education program and meet our instructors! If you are an adult who enjoys these activities and has a passion for working with youth, come find out more about the program and how you can be involved!
