St. Thomas Baptist Church will hold its Men’s Night Out event with the theme “The Truth of Your Heritage” presented by Professor Greg Akers of Fredericksburg Bible Institute and Seminary. Saturday, March 15

The Good News Jail and Prison Ministry of Louisa, under the direction of Chaplain Rev. Alonzo Minor, will host its annual prayer breakfast at 9 a.m. at Bright Hope Baptist Church. Minister Annie Holland and Chaplain Jack Griffin will be the speakers. Breakfast is free and service open to public. The church is located at 9833 Poindexter Rd., Louisa. Glenora Baptist Church will welcome Chad and Cynthia Pape who will speak about their ministry in the Dominican Republic. Church service begins at 11 a.m.  and will be followed by fellowship.  The church is located at 1389 Zachary Taylor Hwy., Mineral.

 

Standing on the Promises of God Church will celebrate its usher anniversary at 3 p.m. with guest pastor, Monroe Smith of Mt. Hope Baptist Church, Mineral. Eagle Baptist Church will hold its annual Women’s Day at 2:30 p.m. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Peggy Brice of Blue Run Baptist Church in Barboursville. She will be accompanied by her choir and congregation. The church is located at 4682 Mt. Airy Rd., Louisa.

 

Ebenezer Baptist Church Men’s Chorus will celebrate its anniversary at 3 p.m. Scheduled to perform special music include Philippi Men’s Chorus, the Gospel Laborers, Laurel Hill Men’s Chorus and James Shelton and Company. The church is located at 864 Pendelton Rd., Mineral.

 

Wednesday, March 19

Church of the Incarnation will celebrate Lent with a program presented by Donna Isom of the Louisa Resource Council. She will share information about food distribution programs, participation guidelines and the numbers  served by the programs. Monday, March 24

Glenora Baptist Church will hold its 2014 Missionary Conference “Sending Laborers into His Harvest” Monday, March 24 through Wednesday, March 26 at 7 p.m. nightly. Dinner will be held from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m.  and childcare will be provided. Monday’s guests will include Chaplain Farley and the Goosman Family; Tuesday’s guests will include Michelle Flint and the Grinstead Family; Wednesday’s guests will be the Childers Family.
