Saturday, March 22

Sunday, March 23

New Anna Baptist Church will celebrate the fifth anniversary of its pastor, Mark K. Brown, at 3 p.m. The Rev. Austin Bates, Zion Travelers Baptist Church, will deliver the sermon. He will be accompanied by his choir and ushers. The church is located at 11639 Cross County Rd., Mineral.

 

Wayland Baptist Church will welcome the Rev. Robert P. Anthony, associate pastor of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, Barboursville, as guest speaker for 11 a.m. worship service.  The church is located at 1228 Oakland Rd., Louisa.

 

Monday, March 24

Glenora Baptist Church will hold its 2014 Missionary Conference “Sending Laborers into His Harvest” Monday, March 24 through Wednesday, March 26 at 7 p.m. nightly. Dinner will be held from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m.  and childcare will be provided. Monday’s guests will include Chaplain Farley and the Goosman Family; Tuesday’s guests will include Michelle Flint and the Grinstead Family; Wednesday’s guests will be the Childers Family. Wednesday, March 26

Church of the Incarnation will celebrate Lent with a presentation by Dr. Deborah Pettit, superintendent of Louisa County Public School who will share information about the  breakfast and lunch programs as well as the backpack program. Ebenezer Baptist Church will hold its spring revival Wednesday, March 26 through Friday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. The Rev. Saturday, March 29

The John E. Thomasson Charitable Foundation, Inc. will sponsor its annual Gospel Gala fundraiser at 4 p.m. at Rising Sun Baptist Church. Gospel singers and groups featured on the program include: Sis. Marie Trice, Joyce and Arlene of the Coles Sisters, Chosen, The Testifiers, The Faith Redeemers and The Soul Seekers. Proceeds will be used to fund scholarships. If unable to attend, please consider making a donation to the foundation, all gifts are tax deductible. The church is located on Rt. 618 in  Mineral.

 

Pleasant Plain Baptist Church will celebrate the installation of pastor-elect, the Rev. Harold Solomon Sr. at 1 p.m. at Louisa County Middle School, Mineral. The Rev. Zion United Methodist Church will hold a Blessing Of The Bikes Sunday during the 11 a.m. worship service. Church of the Incarnation will celebrate Lent by learning about Hunter in America and in particular, hunger in Louisa County, to come to some solutions. Services will be held each Wednesday through April 16 at 7 p.m. The church is located 102 Louisa Ave., Mineral, across from the Mineral Farmers’ Market.

 

Watchtower Baptist Church will hold its spring revival April 2 and April 3 with prayer and praise at 7:00 p.m. and worship at 7:30 p.m. The guest preachers will be the Rev. Dwain Cosby of Mt.Garland Baptist Church on April 2 and the Rev. Christopher Stevens from Union Beaverdam Baptist Church on April 3. The church is located at 375 Pottiesville Rd., Bumpass.
