New leadership at St. James Episcopal

With great thanksgiving and joy, St. James Episcopal Church announces the appointment of the Rev. Charles Alexander Riffee as rector. Father Alex, a West Virginia native, is a graduate of the Berkeley Divinity School at Yale University. He has served as associate rector at St. James’s Episcopal Church in Richmond for three years. His wife, Dr. Yinghao Riffee, is a resident in pediatrics and internal medicine at MCV Hospital.

Father Alex’s tenure begins on April 13, Palm Sunday, with two services, 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. He will conduct five other services during Holy Week. These include a 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday service and two Good Friday services, noon and 7 p.m. The Great Vigil of Easter service is at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, and the Easter Sunday celebration will be at 9:30 a.m. on April 20.

St. James Episcopal Church is located in the town of Louisa at the corner of Main Street and Ellisville Drive.
