A Louisa man  who was listed on the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office’s “Most Wanted” list was taken into custody on Thursday, April 17.

Dennis James Eddy, 24, of Bakers Branch Road, is accused of felony breaking and entering with intent to commit murder, rape or arson, and a vandalism charge, according to Captain Jack Poindexter.

Eddy’s former girlfriend called 9-1-1 on Wednesday, April 2 to report that Eddy had forced his way into her Zion Road home in Zion Crossroads.

According to Poindexter, the victim had previously obtained protective orders against Eddy, and prior to his arriving at her home, he had sent her threatening text messages.

When Eddy kicked down the front door of the victim’s house, Poindexter said, she ran to the bathroom, secured the door and told Eddy she was calling the police. The victim said he then left the residence.

Eddy was released on a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Louisa County General District Court on June 12.
