New minister called to West Louisa Charge

Judy DeBres (6)The West Louisa Charge of the United Methodist Church, Charlottesville District, welcomes Judy Janelle Debres as its new minister.

Debres and her husband, Jim, reside in Palmyra and have been married for 28 years, have three children and a Goldendoodle.

Debres has an associate degree in occupational therapy, a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in family health and spiritual services, and a Masters of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary.  She is working towards a Doctorate of Ministry (DMin) at Wesley in the Soul Care Track.

Debres is a volunteer chaplain at University of Virginia Hospital and a PRN Hospice Chaplain. She is originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan.
