Evergreen Bibleway and Gordonsville Bibleway will present a conference featuring keynote speaker Evangelist Earnestine Clarke, Bread of Life Ministries, Richmond, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The $25 registration fee will include a continental breakfast, luncheon, seminars, special gift bags and door prizes. Sunday, July 20

Church Of The Incarnation in Mineral invites you to attend a new worship experience at 4 p.m. in the fellowship hall. This service is ecumenical in nature and specially designed for individuals and families with special needs.

Approximately 20 percent of the population has a disabling condition. More than 400 students in Louisa County Schools are special needs students. It is often difficult for families with special needs members to find a worship experience that is welcoming. If that has been your experience, then this is the worship service for you. It will last between 30 to 40 minutes and include music, a lesson and short teaching, prayers and an activity based on the lesson. This will be an interactive service allowing people to participate at whatever level they wish to. The service will be followed by the Community Table dinner at 5 p.m. If there is a strong interest, we shall offer this service monthly or more often.

Revival services will begin at Canaan Soul Saving Station Church at 11:30 a.m. with Evangelist Arellia Hinton of Mt. Joy S.S.S. Church, Washington, D.C. Music will be rendered by The Christ Crusaders.

 

Zion United Methodist Church will hold Vacation Bible School, “Workshop of Wonders” Sunday, July 20 through Thursday July 24.  Each night begins with dinner at 5:30 p.m. and wraps up around 7:45 p.m.  Music, crafts, stories, games are scheduled for children ages 3 through 12. Mechanicsville Baptist Church will hold a summer revival Sunday, July 20 through Tuesday, July 22 at 7 p.m.  The theme is Understanding True Saving Faith.  The guest speaker is Dr. Ed. Bonniwell, a native Virginian raised on the East Coast is a graduate of Asbury College, BA; Princeton Theological Seminary at Princeton University, M.Div. and Th.M.; and Louisiana Baptist Theological Seminary, D. St. Thomas Baptist Church Choir will celebrate its annual anniversary at 3 p.m. Music worship will be rendered by Catholine Combined Choir, Chosen and One Accord. Lunch will be served at approximately 1 p.m. The church is located at 1567 Bumpass Rd., Bumpass.

 

Thessalonia Baptist Church will observe Family and Friends Day at 3 p.m.  The Rev. William House, pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church, along with the choir, congregation and ushers, will be the guests.  Lunch will be served following the morning service. Philippi Christian Church will host Lifted Voices Gospel Concert at 3 p.m. Groups scheduled to perform include Combine Voices of Praise, God’s Choice, Philippi Choir and special guest from Wilmington, N.C. The church is located at7133 Jefferson Hwy., Mineral.

 

Wayland Baptist Church will welcome the Rev. Leroy Mashore, associate pastor of Bright Hope Baptist Church, Louisa, as guest speaker for 11 a.m. worship service.  The church is located at 1228 Oakland Rd., Louisa.

Monday, July 21

Temple of Deliverance, HCG will hold its Vacation Bible School Monday, July 21 through Friday, July 25 at 7 p.m. nightly. In the theme of Jungle Safari, kids will know what’s so great about God, explore the nature of God and serve God in practical ways. The church is located at 5756 Zachary Taylor Hwy., Mineral.

 

Bethpage Christian Church will hold Vacation Bible School, “Jungle Safart” Monday, July 21 through Friday, July 25 from 6:00 until 8:30 p.m. for ages 4 and older. VBS includes free food, games, music and Bible studies. If possible, bring a canned food item for the church’s community outreach project. Canaan Soul Saving Station Church will continue revival services Monday, July 21 through Friday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m. nightly with the Rev. Frederick Sales as guest speaker. Various choirs will render the music each evening. The church is located at 6580 Venable Rd., Kents store.

 

Wednesday, July 23

Louisa Baptist Church will present the 2014 released movie “God’s Not Dead” in the worship center at 7 p.m. There is no admission cost. The movie is about Josh, a freshman college student, who enrolls in a philosophy class led by a hard-nosed atheist professor. He is all alone to defend the position that God is alive. If he loses the debate, he flunks the class. There are special appearances in the movie made by Willie and Korie Robertson of Duck Dynasty fame and the Newsboys. The church is located at 305 E. Main St., Louisa.

 

Friday, July 25

First Baptist Church will sponsor a women’s retreat July 25 and July 26 at the Roslyn Center, Richmond. This year’s theme is “Women Working Together with a Spirit of Excellence.” Guest speakers include Sister Sheila Battle, the Revs. Thelma Greenlee, Rita Moore, June Rice Brenda Jones.
