Jeffrey K. Allison

Jeffrey Keith Allison, 55, of Bumpass, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter E. and Marjorie Ann Allison.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Darlene H. Allison; his son, Justin K. Allison and his wife, Tammie; his three precious grandchildren, McKinzie Lynn, Jeffrey David and Justin Hunter Allison; and his sisters, Ruth Allison Bane and Joan Allison Simpson.

Services will be private.

Billie S. Bonar

Billie Gloria Schoppel Bonar, 85, of Louisa County, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012, at Martha Jefferson House in Charlottesville.

Survivors include her brother, Joseph Schoppel of Louisa; her step-daughters, Eva Dwyer, Freddye Getsinger and Joy Andes; her nephews, John, David and Richard Tambourine and William Guthrie; and her nieces Toni Ehlers, Elaine Zavaleta and Margaret Delia.

A service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22 at the Woodward Funeral Home. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mike Guthrie, Richard Delia, Glen Guthrie, Harry Carter, Kenny Perkins and Ernest Carter.

Kathleen Franck

Kathleen Franck, 72, of Bumpass, died Friday, August 17, 2012, at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Dulcie Wild; and her husband, Andrew Franck.

Survivors include her sons, Mat Franck and his wife, Shay, of Richmond, Scott Franck of Arizona, David Franck and his wife, Shirlene, of California, and Wayne Franck and his wife, Sandy, of Chester; and her daughters, Marty Franck Elmore and Bonnie of Louisa, Debi Conner of Chesterfield, and Phyllis Dale and her husband, Mike, of Chesterfield; 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren

She was a member of Little River Baptist Church.

A funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Tim Christman, was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21. Internment was in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were David Franck, Mat Franck, Chris Elmore, Greg Elmore, Jessie Collier and Paul Snyder. The Family Bible was carried by Mike Dale.

James A. Morris Jr. 

James Albert “Happy” Morris Jr., 63, of Louisa, died on Monday, August 20, 2012, at his residence in Louisa.

Born Tuesday, June 28, 1949 in Louisa, he was the son of the late James A. Morris Sr. and Thelma Quarles Morris. He was predeceased by his brothers, Larry Morris, Chris Morris and Kevin Morris; and his sister, Malinda Bates

He attend Louisa County Public Schools.

He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Deborah M. Booze (Anthony), James A. Morris III (Tashika) and Canest N. Holland; his grandchildren, Danique B. Holland, Aidan S. and Ashton M. Booze, and James A. Morris; his brother, Dean Morris; his sister, Robin Johnson; his sisters-in-law, Wendy and Delores Morris; and a host of loving nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23 at Thomasson Watson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gilbert A. Bates officiating.

Orene A. Parrish

Orene Davette Atkinson Parrish, of Mineral, died on Sunday, August 19, 2012.

She was born on August 17, 1932, and grew up in Holly Grove. She was married to the late Louis Edward Parrish for 49 years and resided in Goochland County in the Hadensville area.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Cleveland and Isla Johnson Atkinson of Holly Grove; and her brother, Wilbur Matthews Atkinson of Augusta, Georgia.

She is survived by two daughters, June Parrish Perkins and Linda Parrish Christian, both of Kents Store; and her beloved son-in-law, Melford E. Perkins; her grandchildren, Michelle Perkins Haislip and her husband, Scott (Dick), of Kents Store, Sharon Perkins Buck and her husband, David, and Victoria (Vicky) Perkins-Brown and her husband, Brian, all of Gordonsville, Louis Elliott Christian and Raleigh Ellen Christian of Kents Store; her great-grandchildren, Tyler Victoria Haislip, Josiah Perkins Buck, Grace Hannah Buck and Brandon Scott Brown, Caroline Elizabeth Brown and Olivia Renee Brown; her sister, Jacqueline Cooper Matysek and her husband, John, of Richmond; and a host of beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and long-time friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23 at Dogwood Baptist Church, 5677 Newline Road, Gum Spring. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Beulah Baptist Church Building Fund, 1436 Kents Store Way, Kents Store, VA 23084.
