Winery jails locals to benefit hounds

These two jailbirds enjoyed their time in lockup as people paid to keep them in jail rather than to bail them out.

Weston Farm Vineyard and Winery held a benefit for St. Rocco’s Hound Rescue on Saturday, Aug. 18.

Volunteer jailees sold tickets to lessen their time in jail or tickets could be purchased to keep a person in longer.

Jeannie Kenny, founder of St. Rocco’s Hound Rescue, and Penny Martin, proprietor of Weston Farm Vineyard and Winery teamed up for the fundraiser that made $1,188 for the rescue organization.
