Louisa to celebrate Constitutional anniversary

The Louisa Courthouse Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will recognize the 225th anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America.  The Mineral Town Council issued a proclamation in remembrance of this event.

According to Regent Sunny Agee, DAR will have a window display at Bailey’s Drug Store in Louisa commemorating this historic event and will also be observing the event with a reading about the Constitution and a “ringing of the bells” at its regular Sept. 20 meeting being held at Prospect Hill.

DAR asks the public to join them in this observation by reading the Constitution and being grateful to the forefathers who sacrificed so American people might enjoy the freedoms, 225 years later.
