Louisa County Marching band participates in annual Free for All

LCHS Lions Marching band perform at annual Free for All.

The LCHS Marching Lions traveled to the J.R. Tucker High School on Saturday and participated in their 8th Annual Free For All.  This event is a non-competitive marching band show with workshops. It allows the bands and their directors to receive critiques from the judges, both taped and in person.

The Marching Lions started the day off at noon and practiced for several hours before packing up their equipment and loading the busses.  After their 5:10PM performance, they continued to work with Judges Jim Stegman and Jim Hale. They discussed musicality, visual effect and marching techniques.  Taking time for a quick supper, they bussed back to LCHS, finishing their long day at 7:30PM.

Saturday, October 13th, the Marching Lions will compete at the Stafford High School Showcase in Falmouth. The competition begins at 3:00PM and the public is invited to attend and support their band.
