Man on Louisa County Sheriff’s Office’s most wanted list surrenders

Derrick Hunter, one of Louisa County Sheriff’s Office most wanted, surrendered to Albemarle police department Sept. 7 and was released on a secured $2,000 bond.

Hunter was wanted for two felony probation violations on original charges of malicious wounding, assault and batter, one misdemeanor probation violation on original charge of assault and batter, and one misdemeanor failure to pay support capias.

Authorities remind the public to never attempt to apprehend a fugitive, but to contact the local sheriff’s office at 540-967-1234 or crime solvers at 800-346-1466.
