Benjamin F. Foster Jr.
Benjamin F. Foster Jr., 71, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Virginia Medical Center in Richmond.
He was the son of the late Benjamin and Maggie Foster.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary F. Foster; his daughter, Joyce Foster Chesley and her husband, Larry Chesley; his son, Benjamin F. Foster III; his grandchildren, Larry Chesley Jr. and Amanda Chesley; his sister, Ethel Hodges and her husband, Franklin Sr., of Louisa; his brothers, Charles Foster and his wife, Lorraine, of Mineral, and Michael Foster of Missouri.
Graveside services, conducted by Pastor Steve McClary, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Louisa.
Arrangements are being made by Colbert Funeral Home, Bremo Bluff.

Linden B. Keffer, preacher, husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed from this earthly life September 13, 2012.
He was born December 12, 1947, in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, to Joseph L. Keffer and Iola P. Keffer, both deceased. He was residing in Louisa County at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Shirley M. Keffer; his son, David B. Keffer; and his daughter, Amy Keffer Bleach; two grandchildren, Ethan and Elliot Bleach; his brothers, Douglas and Vaughan Keffer; his sisters, Sandra Keffer and Karen Keffer Waldron.
A memorial service was held at Bonnie Brae Church of Christ, Richmond, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22.

Samuel R. Perry Sr.
Samuel Rosevelt Perry Sr., 76, of Bumpass, died Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at his residence.
Born Sept. 1, 1936 in Louisa County, he was a son of the late John Everett Perry Sr. and Edna Virginia Perry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, John E. Perry Jr.
Mr. Perry was a member of Glenora Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for more than 30 years. He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army.
Mr. Perry is survived by his wife, Margaret Louise Perry of Bumpass; one daughter, Sue Stinnett and her husband, Ricky, of Bumpass; two sons, Samuel R. Perry Jr. and his wife, Ramona, of North Chesterfield, Jeffrey L. Perry and his wife, Sharon, of Gordonsville; one brother, William Henry Perry and his wife, Mary Ann, of Bradenton, Florida; five grandchildren, Jessica L. Perry, Andrew J. Perry, Brandon K. Stinnett, Bryan K. Stinnett, Taylor N. Stinnett; one great-grandchild, Gabriel Alexander Harris, special friends, The Gospel Singing Friends, Charles Shifflett, Marvin Williams and sisters, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Sept. 21 at Glenora Baptist Church in Mineral. Interment was in Spring Grove Cemetery, in Mineral. The Rev. Don Purnell, the Rev. Erick Rorrer and the Rev. Jerry Hall officiated.

Thomas N. Thacker
Thomas Nelson Thacker, 76, of Amelia Courthouse, lost his fight with cancer on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012.
Mr. Thacker served in the Air Force and was very proud of his service to his country.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennie and Mena Thacker.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Brenda Denton Thacker; a son, Tim Thacker and his wife Terry; a daughter, Dana Finn and her husband, Bryan; his grandsons, Patrick Thacker and his wife, Vania, Derek Thacker, Warrick Thacker and Tyler Finn; and his sister, Wilhelmena T. Parrish.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Woodward Funeral Home in Louisa. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in Spring Grove Cemetery in Mineral.
