Saturday, Oct. 13

Temple of Deliverance will celebrate the anniversary of its Mass Choir at 6 p.m. The guest choir will be  Greater Praise Choir, of Greater Refuge, Richmond. Local choirs will also participate. The speaker  will be Elder James Dudley, of Refuge Church, Bowling Green. The church is  located at 5756 Zachary Taylor Hwy., Mineral.

 

Sunday, Oct. 14

Springfield Baptist Church has called Brother Ryan Holcomb who has been called by God to preach the Word and will present his initial sermon at 3 p.m.  The church is located at 1042 Zion Road, Gordonsville. Dinner will be served following the morning worship service.

 

Mt. Hope Baptist Church will celebrate its 142nd church anniversary  at 2:30 p.m.   The theme for the day is “Unity in the Community: Churches Together in Christ.” The Rev. Dr. Stephen A.G. Howard, pastor of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Richmond, his choir, ushers and the church family will be the guests. Dinner will be served.

 

Rising Sun Baptist Church will hold its benefit program, Order My Step, at 3 p.m.  Guest speakers will include the Rev. Arthur Lee III on the topic Count Your Blessings and Evangelist Evelima Thurston on Order My Step.  The United Praise group will conduct the afternoon’s music and praise teams of New Anna Baptist Church and Rising Sun Baptist Church will perform.  The church is located on Rt. 618, Mineral.

 

Watchtower Baptist Church will celebrate Men’s Day at 3 p.m. with guest preacher the be Rev. Gilbert Garcia from First New Hope, Spotsylvania. The church is located at 375 Pottiesville Rd., Bumpass.

 

The gospel group Calvery’s Mercy will be at Dogwood Baptist Church at 6 p.m. followed by a fellowship dinner. A love offering will be received. The church is located at 5677 New Line Road, Gum Spring. For more information contact Preston Gammon at (804) 556-4249.

 

St. Thomas Baptist Church will celebrate its 117th anniversary at 3 p.m.  The guests will be the Rev. Jerry Coleman, his choir. The church is located at 1567 Bumpass Rd., Bumpass.

 

Ebenezer Baptist Church’s adult choir will celebrate its anniversary at 3 p.m. with guests Philippi Christian Church, Eagle Baptist Church, Laural Hill Baptist Church Marie Trice and the Jones Family.  The church is located at 109 Ebenezer Rd., Mineral.

Mt. Gilliam Baptist Church will hold its annual Missionary Day during the 11 a.m. morning service. The guest minister will be the Rev. Beulah Minor.  The church is located at 4641 Chalklevel Rd., Louisa.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 17

Notice change: Servants of Christ Baptist Church will hold Revival Wednesday, Oct. 17 through Friday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. with guest speaker the Rev. George Dickens, Cross County Baptist Church, Waldorf, Maryland. A potluck dinner will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 5 p.m. No service will be held at this time. Rev. Dickens will conclude revival during the Sunday morning worship service.   The church is located at 60 Sommerfield Dr., Zion Crossroads, across from Spring Creek Subdivision.

 

Saturday, Oct. 20

New Anna Baptist Church invites you to join us at 3 p.m. for our Men and Women’s program, we pray that you be able to be with us for fellowship, and added blessing. Rev. Walter Barrett, associate Minister of Mt. Hope Baptist Church will bring the Gospel message, and the Glorious Family Singers will be singing.

Ebenezer Baptist Church will celebrate its 142nd church anniversary at 3 p.m. The special guest will be the Rev. Dr. Earl Brown and his congregation from Fifth Baptist Church, Richmond. The church is located at 109 Ebenezer Rd., Mineral.

 

Watchtower Baptist Church will celebrate its 109th church anniversary at 3 p.m. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Christopher Stevens from Union Beaverdam Baptist Church, Beaverdam. The church is located at 375 Pottiesville Rd., Bumpass.

 

Foster Creek Baptist Church will hold its 145th anniversary celebration including an 11:30 a.m. morning worship service followed by a luncheon. The anniversary celebration will begin at 4:00 p.m. with special guest speaker the Rev. Dr. LaMont J. Johnson Sr., of Rockingham, North Carolina. The church is located at 4028 E. Jack Jouett Rd., Louisa.
