At Louisa Circuit Court on Nov.1, Markus Houchens, 25, of Charlottesville, was sentenced to six years in prison for his participation in two counts of burglary, four counts of burglary while armed with a deadly weapon, four counts of grand larceny and five counts of property damage.
Houchens’s crime spree through Louisa, Albemarle and Fluvanna counties occurred between Sept. 27 and Oct 7. Houchens is believed to have partnered with a local Louisa resident, Theresa Kingrea, who is currently awaiting her court date in Louisa County Circuit Court on Nov. 14.
