MADD to hold video contest

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is asking teens to take a stand and create a one-minute or less video to encourage their peers to avoid drinking alcohol before age 21 and to never get in a car with someone who’s been drinking.

According to MADD, the Power of You(th), is the power teens hold to prevent some of the 6,000 deaths that result each year from underage drinking. MADD is asking teens to influence their friends and make an impact in their school, home and community with the Power of You(th) video.

Videos will be judged on how well the term Power of You(th) theme to take a stand against underage drinking and how well the creativity is to grab attention and make a point. The focus on the video should be underage drinking and not drunk driving.

All videos should be uploaded to YouTube by Dec. 28, while sending a link using the official form on MADD’s website.  The grand prize will be a new iPad.
