Friday, Dec. 21

Mechanicsville Baptist Church will present its Christmas pageant “Nativity in the Barn” at the Norton Farm located on Rt. 15 at 6:30 p.m. The church is located at 10200 Louisa Rd., Louisa. For more information, call the church office at (540) 832-3269.

 

The Longest Night Worship Service will be held at 7 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.  The church is located at 3091 Mt. Pleasant Church Rd., Mineral, at the intersection of Chalklevel and Mt. Pleasant Church roads.

 

Louisa Christian Church  will host  a “Longest Night” service beginning at 7 p.m.  This service is intended to encourage a sense of hope and renewal for those who have been or who are experiencing difficulties and sadness. The church is located at 104 Elm Ave., in the town of Louisa.

 

Saturday, Dec. 22

Bethpage Christian Church will present its Christmas pageant at 6 p.m. followed by refreshments in the fellowship hall.  The church is located at 4491 Fredericks Hall Rd., Mineral.

 

A Living Christmas Story will be presented by Macedonia United Methodist Church from 6 until 8 p.m.  Come and walk through a living Bethlehem experience.  Refreshments will be served in the church social hall.  The church is located at Bells Crossroads off of Rt. 208.

Sunday, Dec. 23

Emmanuel Holiness Church’s choir will hold a musical program during the 11 a.m. worship service. The church is located at 17904 Jefferson Hwy., Bumpass.

 

Holly Grove Christian Church’s adult choir will present the cantata “An Unexpected Christmas” during the worship service at 10:30 a.m.  The church is located at 1637 Holly Grove Drive, Bumpass.

 

St. Thomas Baptist Church will hold its Christmas program “The Spirit of Christmas” at 2:30 p.m. New Anna Baptist Church will be the special guest.  The church is located at 1567 Bumpass Rd., Bumpass.

 

The Hopeful Baptist Church choir will present its Christmas cantata during the 11 a.m. church service. The church is located at 14340 Hopeful Church Rd., Montpelier.

 

Monday, Dec. 24

Louisa Baptist Church will celebrate Jesus Christ’s birth through worship on Christmas Eve at 6 p.m.  The service will be candlelit and on the topic “A Couple of Love” from Matthew 1:18-25.  The church is located at 305 East Main St., Louisa.

 

Holly Grove Christian Church will hold a Christmas Eve Candlelight communion service starting at 11 p.m. with the traditional steeple bell ringing at midnight. The church is located at 1637 Holly Grove Dr., Bumpass.

 

Louisa United Methodist Church will hold two candlelight services on Christmas Eve.  The first will be held at 4 p.m. and the second at 8 p.m.  The church is located at 101 East Main, Louisa.

Louisa Presbyterian Church will hold its Christmas Eve service celebrating the Lord’s birth at 6 p.m. The service will include a traditional service of nine lessons and carols. The church is located on 212 Church St., Louisa (across from the ball field and fair grounds.

 

Hopeful Baptist Church will hold a candlelight service at 5 p.m. The church is located at 14340 Hopeful Church Rd., Montpelier.

Tuesday, Dec. 25

New Line Baptist Church will hold a Christmas Day service starting at 8 a.m. The message will be brought by Pastor Coney.  The church is located at 4876 New Line Rd., Gum Spring.

 

Louisa Christian Church will hold a worship service at 11 a.m. led by the Rev. Denny Burnette. The church is located at 104 Elm Ave., in the town of Louisa.

 

Sunday, Dec. 30

Free Union Gospel Church will be blessed with the word from Apostle Ronald Hoard of Ephphatha New Ministries in Columbus Ohio, Apostle Randolph Ragland of Holy Church of the Living God in Cobham, as well as The C.E Lewis Memorial Choir starting at 3 p.m. Apostle Hoard has written, directed and produced two plays  “The Modern Prodigal” and “How Were You Raised.”  The church located at 10378 Louisa Road in Gordonsville.

 

The Louisa County Sunday School Union will worship at Mt. Gilliam Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Lunch will follow. The church is located at 2212 Mansfield Rd., Mineral.

 

Canaan Soul Saving Station Church will welcome the Rev. Peggy Brice, pastor of Blue Run Baptist Church, as guest speaker during the 11:30 a.m. worship service.  She will be accompanied by her choir.  The church is located at 6580 Venable Rd., Kents Store.

 

Louisa Christian Church will hold an informal worship breakfast at 9 a.m.   There will be no Sunday school and no 11 a.m. worship service on this date. The men of the church will be preparing a hearty breakfast for all to enjoy, and the Rev. Denny Burnette will lead a brief devotional service including celebration of the Lord’s Supper. Monday, Dec. 31

New Line Baptist Church will hold a Watch Night service beginning with a dinner at 9:30 p.m. The church is located at 4876 New Line Rd., Gum Spring.

 

Kingdom United Ministries of Louisa  and Rising Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Columbia will collaborate for a New Years Eve celebration starting at 9:30 p.m. Pastor Tyrone A. McCowin and Bishop Ambus L. Bailey will both bring forth a word from God, as well as praise dancers and praise and worship. Service will be held at Moss-Nuckols Elementary School, 2055 Courthouse Road, Louisa,  Rt. 208. Laurel Hill Baptist Church will hold a Watch Night Service starting at 9 p.m. and transition into the year 2013 at 12 a.m.  Laurel Hill Associate Ministers, the Rev. Peggy Jackson, Costello Jackson, John Johnson and Alice Morgan-Brown will preach on the theme Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow and Forevermore, respectively.
