Flags grounded at air park

New flags await repair work that needs to be done prior to them being raised.

Five months ago the flags at the Louisa County Industrial Air Park were taken down due to their deteriorating condition. The Industrial Development Authority of Louisa County has purchased new flags, but according to Bill Fosdick, manager of Louisa County Airport/Freeman Field, said the new flags cannot go up until the pulleys and lights are fixed.

Fosdick said that will require help from the Louisa Volunteer Fire Department’s ladder truck to fix the pulleys and Lakeway Electric to repair the lights that are required to shine on the U. S. flag during the evening hours.
