Drawing an end to school defacing case

Michael Dow, of Locust Grove, entered a guilty plea in Louisa County General District Court on Jan. 10 for his participation in the defacing of the Louisa High School football field and press box in September of 2011.

Dow was charged with a class one misdemeanor of destruction of property under $1,000 and received twelve months with all suspended. He must pay restitution.

The same charge against Corey Oakes, of Rhoadesville, was dismissed.

Dow and Oakes were the two defendants of age in the case in which the Louisa County High School football field and accompanying structures were tagged with spray paint sometime during the night of September 1 in 2011.
