The Volunteers of Louisa (VOL) will hold its annual meeting at the school board office building at 5 p.m. for the installation of officers, a review of 2011 accomplishments and plans for 2012. The public is encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served. Come to the Louisa County Library and join the group to build fun things out of Lego blocks. All you need to bring is your creativity and building abilities. Adults are also welcome. The event will be held at 2 p.m. and is for participants age six to 11.

The Louisa Chapter of AARP meets the second Wednesday of the month in the second-floor conference room of the Louisa County Office Building. All residents age 50 and older are welcome. The meeting will begin at 2 p.m. and will host Rita Smith, registered dietician from Martha Jefferson Hospital who will provide information on nutrition.
