The Moss-Nuckols Elementary School PTA donated $10,000 to the school to help fund the purchase of 60 new laptops for classroom use.  Each primary class received two laptops, the remaining computers were distributed to the upper grades.

Computer skills are critical for success on standardized tests, as well as in today’s world.  These new machines will provide additional opportunities for students to continue to become more comfortable with technology, practice keyboarding skills, take practice tests, conduct research, and explore the many ways that technology can enhance learning.

Most of the funds were raised during the PTA fall fundraiser; it is thanks to the generous and dedicated support of MNES parents and guardians that the PTA was able to make such a large donation to the school.  The PTA is preparing for the spring read-a-thon, with a goal to raise an additional $4,000 for school technology.
