Louisa man arrested in late-night gas station shooting

Around 11 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, police received a call of “shots fired” at the Shell Service Station at 305 West Main Street in Louisa.

Town of Louisa Police Officer Bryan Wilson responded to the call and found a man sitting on the ground by his car with a gunshot in his upper torso.

According to reports, the bullet had gone into the victim’s armpit and the victim was airlifted to UVA Medical Center were he remains in stable but critical condition.

Darren Rowe, 27, of Louisa, was arrested at 5:30 a.m. without incident and is being held at the Central Virginia Regional Jail pending his court date.
