Schools sponsor Louisa Reads

Reading is more than a class in school- it’s how our community is connected.

Whether it’s novels or public notices, how-to manuals or menus, reading is integral to life. And on March 6, Louisa County Public Schools is asking that everyone in our community make time to read.

Louisa Reads is an annual local celebration of reading. LCPS asks that everyone take at least 30 minutes on March 6 to read a book, newspaper or magazine.

Although reading is its own reward, there will be prizes for those who turn in their forms to report reading on March 6. One student from each school, one LCPS employee, and one member of the community will receive a bookstore gift card.

Forms will be sent home with LCPS students, and others who wish to participate can get forms at the Louisa County Library. Forms must be returned by March 8 to be entered for the drawing.
