The earthquake shook us, cancer rattles us, and together we can roll against it…
Relay For Life of Louisa will hold its ninth annual kickoff meeting on Sunday, Jan. 15 at 3:30 p.m. at the Betty J. Queen Intergenerational Center with Willie Gentry as the Honorary Chairman this year. The format this year at the Kick Off, will be a mini Relay event set for Friday, June 15 at 6 p.m. at the Louisa High School, with a new format. Mary Johnson is working on entertainment for the community.
No matter who you are, there’s a place for at Relay for your time and talents. Each dollar raised will help save lives and make a difference in the fight against cancer.
Reasons for walking in the Relay For Life are as unique and special as the story that motivates participants. This is an opportunity to not only honor cancer survivors and remember people we have lost, but also to raise funds and awareness to help save lives. Because of each individual’s support, Relay For Life is helping to create a world where cancer can’t claim another year of anyone’s life. You are helping create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
