Mechanicsville Baptist Church will hold its revival Sunday, April 21 through Wednesday, April 24 with the theme “Reclaiming Our Ancient Past” at 7 p.m. nightly with guest speaker, Dr. Ed Bonniwell. Bonniwell, a native Virginian, was raised on the East Coast and is a graduate of Asbury College, BA; Princeton Theological Seminary at Princeton University, M.Div. and Th.M.; and Louisiana Baptist Theological Seminary, D. Min. and Th.D. He is the founding pastor of the Faith Christian Fellowship Church. In 1995, the Lord gave him a vision, leading to the formation of the Miami Valley Christian Academy in Newtown, Ohio. He is also the visionary founder of Kingswell Theological Seminary, and served as chancellor for eight years and is a member of the Arlington Group, an association of national pro-family organizations. Bonniwell is also a contributor to the Global Pastor’s Network, having developed several courses for preaching which are sent via satellite television to more than five and one-half million third-world pastors. Mt. Gilliam Baptist Church (Old Site) will celebrate its annual Family and Friends Day during the morning service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Donald King Sr. bringing the preached word and at 3 p.m. with special guest the Rev. Gilliam New Site Baptist Church will address How to Count Your Blessings and Be Thankful. The Ladies of Praise, of Rising Sun Baptist Church, will render the music.
