Louisa man accused of obtaining money under false pretenses

Arrest warrants have been issued for Joseph Jack Yancey, 52, of Louisa, by the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office, in

connection with six felony counts of obtaining money by false pretenses.

Lt. Dennis Ivey, of York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office, would not reveal details regarding the method of fraud or dollar amount since the investigation is ongoing.

The alleged crimes took place between Jan. 10 and March 15 in York County.

Joseph Yancey’s last known address was in the 3500 block of Waldrop Church Road, in Louisa.

Yancey Properties, LLC, based in Louisa since 2010, is owned by a Joey Yancey, and has the same address as the suspect.

According to Dun and Bradstreet, the company reports an annual revenue of $160,000 annually and employs three people.

Yancey is described as a 5-foot-7-inch, 235-pound black man with black hair and brown eyes and may be driving a gold Nissan Quest van with the Virginia license plates JJYPKID.
