Louisa Extension offers summer day camps

Louisa County Extension Office will be offering summer day camps to any child or teen ages 9-18 (unless otherwise noted).

In each class participants create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that can be entered in the Louisa County Agriculture Fair! Classes include:

Pre-registration is required for all classes by calling the Louisa County Extension Office at (540) 967-3422.

Most workshops have a small fee, typically under $15. Registration deadlines will vary based on class day.

Classes include:

•Baby Sitting: June 18, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

•Wood Working: June 20, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

•Louisa History Tour: June 24, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Dog Obedience: July 9, 16, 23 and 30, 6:30 until 7:30 p.m.

James and Jellies: July 9, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Photography: July 10, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Gardening: July 15 and 16, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Quilting: July 17, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Exploring the Great Outdoors: July 18 and 19, 8 a.m. on the 18th until 12 p.m. on the 19th.

Camp: July 22 through 25, 6 until 8 p.m. Children ages 5 through 8 years old

Cupcake Wars: July 24, 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Before the Fair: July 25, 1 until 5 p.m. Children ages 6 through 9 years old.

Self Defense: TBA. Held based on interest
