Shady Grove Baptist Church Music Ministry will hold its State and Capital pageant at 5 p.m. with guest Deacon Steve Bradshaw and the Galilee Male Choir in concert. The church is located at 3384 Oakland Church Rd., Gum Spring.


Philippi Christian Church will host the Brooks Family anniversary at 4 p.m. Music will be rendered by Ebenezer Choir, Mt. Hope Choir, Laurel Hill Choir, Bro. Larry Russell and Scott Singer. The church is located at 7133 Jefferson Hwy., Mineral, Rt 33.


Sunday, June 23

Wayland Baptist Church will celebrate its 131st anniversary. Pastor Frances Lewis will bring the morning’s Word at 11 a.m. followed by lunch. Dr. Ray McKenzie will be the speaker at 3 p.m.  The Rev. Sharon Roberts, pastor of St. Thomas Baptist Church will be worship leader and her choir will render the music. The church is located at 1228 Oakland Rd., Louisa.


New Anna Baptist Church will hold a Testimonial Service at 3 p.m. The theme is “Do you know what a Testimony is?” The Rev. Annie Holland of First Baptist Church in Louisa will be the guest preacher and music will be rendered by the Glorious Family Singers.  The service is sponsored by Deacon Haywood Minor. The church is located at 11639 Cross County Rd., Mineral.


Peach Grove Baptist Church will hold its annual Rally Day at 11:30 a.m. The service will be conducted by Pastor Sherman Hudson followed by lunch. The guests for the 3 p.m. service will be the Rev. Mt. Hope Baptist Church Youth/Young Adult Choir will celebrate its 19th anniversary at 3:00 p.m., pre-worship is at 2:45 p.m.  The theme for this celebration is “Every Praise is to Our God”.  Guest will include local youth/young adult choirs and soloists. The church is located at 5501 Paynes Mill Rd.


Correction: Ebenezer Baptist Church Missionary Ministry will celebrate its anniversary at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Loretta Strothers of Thesselonia Baptist Church, Fluvanna, as the guest speaker. Her choir will render the music. The church is located at 109 Ebenezer Rd., Mineral.


Mt. Gilliam Baptist Church will celebrate Youth Day with guest morning speaker the Rev. Sarah Morris, associate minister of Galilee Baptist Church followed by lunch.  The afternoon service will begin at 3 p.m. with the Praise Dance and Mime Ministry from Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Glen Allen, and guest speaker the Rev. Marcus Lee, associate minister.  The church is located at 4641 Chalklevel Rd., Louisa.


Louisa Baptist Church will begin a new sermon series to discover how important prayer is in relationships, cleansing, peace and the harvest.  Two services are available including a contemporary service at 8:30 a.m. and a traditional service at 11:00 a.m.  Sunday School is held between the two services.  The church is located at 305 E. Main St., Louisa.


New Line Baptist Church will celebrate its church’s anniversary at 10 a.m. with guest preacher, the Rev. Beulah Minor, of New Anna Baptist Church.  New Line’s choir will render the music.  The church is located at 4876 New Line Rd., Gum Spring.

Canaan Soul Saving Station Church will welcome Bishop James Ragland of the House of God, Gordonsville during the 11:30 a.m. worship service.  His choir will render the music. The church is located at 6580 Venable Rd., Kents Store.


Laurel Hill Baptist Church will celebrate its first lady, Sis. Carol Carpenter at 2:45 p.m. The Rev.
