The Louisa County Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Membership Picnic and Meeting next Thursday, June 27, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Christopher Run Campground. The menu will include barbeque pork and baked chicken with a variety of sides, musical entertainment will be DJ Tommy Nelson, and the theme is Patriotic as the chamber kicks off the summer and the Fourth of July holiday.
“The annual membership picnic is a long-standing tradition with the chamber, and I’m looking forward to the start of another chamber year with community business leaders and their family members,” Keli Harold, chamber executive director, said. “I’m also looking forward to the delicious food and the fun music.”
Harold credits the annual membership picnic committee members for their hard work in organizing the event.
“Each one of them jumped in and rolled up their sleeves to make sure this will be the best membership picnic the chamber has hosted,” she said.
As part of the annual meeting, the 2013-14 board of directors and officers will be introduced. There will be a brief business meeting, conducted by the 2013-14 chamber chairman of the board of directors, and the event will resume back to family fun.
“Be sure to wear your red, white and blue, and be ready to have some fun,” Harold said.
Ticket for the event are $10 per person or $15 per couple for chamber members and $15 per person or $20 per couple for non-chamber members. RSVP no later than Monday, June 24 to email@example.com, or (540) 967-0944.
