Kingdom United Ministries will continue its The Awakening 2013 Revival, “The Alarm is Going Off” Thursday, June 27 and Friday, June 28 at 7:30 p.m. Guest ministers will include Apostle Glendora Winston, The Master’s Touch Church on Thursday and Apostle Jamie Brooks, Apostolic Kingdom Builders, on Friday. Saturday, June 29

Thessalonia Baptist Church will hold a consecration service for Deaconesses-Elect Candy Thompson, Connie Reid and Cassandra Truzy at 4 p.m.  The Rev. Loretta Strothers will be the guest speaker. All deacons and deaconesses are invited to attend.  The church is located at 278 Old County Rd., Mineral.

 

Sunday, June 30

Canaan Soul Saving Station Church will welcome Bishop James Ragland of the House of God, Gordonsville during the 11:30 a.m. worship service.  His choir will render the music. The church is located at 6580 Venable Rd., Kents Store.

 

Laurel Hill Baptist Church will celebrate its first lady, Sis. Carol Carpenter at 2:45 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Charlene Phillips, White Oak Run Baptist Church, Rapidan, will be the guest preacher.  Dinner will be served fat 2:00 p.m.  The church is located at 7652 Kentucky Springs Rd., Mineral. Memorial Baptist Church hold a special patriotic service to celebrate America and God’s blessings upon the nation during the 11 a.m. worship service.  The church is located at 98 Courthouse Rd., Louisa.

 

The Christian Fellowship Union will meet at Wayland Baptist Church at 10 a.m. The Rev. Everett Dandridge, associate minister of New Anna Baptist Church, will  bring the message and the Combined Choir of New Anna will render the music. The meeting will consist of a Sunday school lesson session, children’s hour and the sermon followed by lunch. The church is located at 1228 Oakland Rd., Louisa.

 

Wednesday, July 3

Mt. Garland Baptist Church will hold Bible study each Wednesday at 5:30 and 7:00 p.m.  Classes will be taught by the Rev. Dwain Cosby. The church is located at 4000 Buckner Rd., Bumpass.

Deadline to register for the Anointed Voices of Union Baptist Church’s choir workshop on Saturday July 13, from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. Minister of Music Sharon Saunders will conduct the workshop. Workshop is $75.00 for choir or singing group and $25 for individuals. Sunday, July 7

Trevor Thomas will be at Mineral Baptist Church during the 11 a.m. worship service.  Thomas, who is known as “Mr. Drama,” holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and a minor in theater performance.  He has been using his many theatrical talents to present the message of Christ since 1991. He uses a variety of methods, including sketches, poems, monologues and music to present the gospel to his audience and has performed in churches, concerts and other venues.  Joining Thomas is his wife, Sawyer, who holds a bachelor’s degree in vocal music education and is an accomplished pianist.  She uses her variety of music styles to complement the performances. The Thomas’ performances have been described as theater, comedy, music and evangelism colliding as well as Broadway, Shakespeare and Carol Burnett meeting Billy Graham.
