Sunday, Sept. 8

First Baptist Church will celebrate Men’s Day with worship at 10:45 a.m. and the Rev. Ronzo Lee delivering the message followed by lunch.  The afternoon service will begin at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Louis Blakey Jr., pastor of New Cannon Baptist Church, Richmond. Music will be rendered by The Celebration Male Chorus of Richmond under the direction of Dr. Willis Barnett, university choir director, Virginia Union University, Richmond. The church is located at 102 Meadow Ave., Louisa.

 

Temple of Deliverance, HCG, will celebrate its Homecoming during morning worship, 11:15 a.m., with Elder Lynn Beanum, pastor, bringing the message. The afternoon service will begin at 3:30 p.m. and the guest will be Elder James Dudley of Bowling Green. The church is located at 5756 Zachary Taylor Hwy., Mineral.

 

Standing on The Promises of God Church will celebrate its Homecoming during the 11 a.m. service followed by lunch at 2 p.m.  The afternoon service will begin at 3 p.m. The guest preacher will be Elder Frederick Sales of New Destiny Church, Fredericksburg. Philippi Christian Church will celebrate its annual Homecoming  with Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. and morning worship at 11:00 a.m.  Revival will kick-off  with prayer and praise at 2:30 p.m. followed by worship at 3:00 p.m.  Pastor Monroe Smith, New Hope Baptist Church, will be the evangelist for the week Monday, Sept. 9 through Friday, Sept. 13. Prayer and praise will begin at 7:30 p.m., evening worship at 8:00 p.m. nightly. The church is located at 7133 Jefferson Hwy., (Rt 33), Mineral.

 

Monday, Sept. 9

Standing on The Promises of God Church will hold revival services will be Monday, Sept. 9 through Wednesday, Sept. 11. Praise and worship will begin at 7:30 p.m. and worship at 8:00 p.m. nightly.  The guest preacher will be Elder Frederick Sales of New Destiny, Fredericksburg. Music will be rendered by Rising Sun Baptist Church Men’s Choir on Monday, St. Johns Baptist Church Choir of Mineral, on Tuesday, and  Galilee Baptist Church Men’s Choir on Wednesday. Sunday, Sept. 15

Forest Hill Baptist Church will celebrate Homecoming at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Larrimore. Music will be rendered by Shades of Blue. Lunch will be served following the service.  Special music will be provided by Glory Road at 1 p.m. The church is located at 4409 S. Spotswood Trail, Gordonsville. The Harvesters will be in concert at Bethany Christian Church at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will follow the performance.  The church is located at 2402 Bethany Church Rd., Bumpass.

 

Ebenezer Baptist Church’s A.L. Carter Singers will celebrate its 31st anniversary at 3 p.m. The church is located at 109 Ebenezer Rd., Mineral.

Watchtower Baptist Church will celebrate Women’s and Men’s Day at 4 p.m. with guest speaker Pastor Edgar Green from Eden Ministries of Charlottesville. Refreshment will be served following the program. The church is located at 375 Pottiesville Rd., Bumpass.

 

New Anna Baptist Church will hold its Women’s Day Service at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Loretta Strothers from Swiftford Baptist Church, Madison. Her her family choir will accompany her and render the music for the afternoon. The church is located at 11639 Cross County Rd., Mineral.

 

Free Union Gospel Church, will celebrate Homecoming during its 11:30 a.m. service with Pastor John E. Marshall bringing the message followed by lunch. Apostle Ronnie Hoard of Ephphratha Outreach Ministry, Columbus, Ohio, will be the guest speaker at the 3 p.m. service.  Music will be rendered by the C.E. Lewis Memorial Choir from Church of God in Christ, Cobham. The church is located at 10378 Louisa Rd., Gordonsville.

 

Monday, Sept. 16

Free Union Gospel Church will hold its revival Monday, Sept. 16 through Friday, Sept. 20 with Apostle Ronnie Hoard as the guest speaker. Various choirs will render music. Prayer and praise will begin at 7:30 p.m. and worship at 8:00 p.m. The church is located at 10378 Louisa Rd., Gordonsville.
