Louisa police reports

This is a report of all incidents involving the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office in which a case number was assigned. It does not include all the incidents in the county. December 15
• On S Spotswood Trl, larceny of a wallet. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.
• At Zachary Taylor Hwy and the Spotsylvania County Line , traffic stop. Two juveniles were charged with underage possession of alcohol after they were found in an intoxicated state on a traffic stop. The juveniles were not the operators of the vehicle. Both juveniles were released on a Virginia Uniform Summons and turned over to a family member. A report was written to document the incident.

December 14
• On James Madison Hwy at Zion Citgo, domestic. A no violent contact emergency protective order was obtained after officers responded for a report of a verbal domestic in the parking lot of the store. A report was written to document the incident.
• On Dogwood Acres Rd , domestic. A no contact emergency protective order was obtained after officers responded for a report of a verbal domestic at the residence. A report was written to document the incident.
• On Redbud Dr, DOA. A death investigation was done and a report taken for a female that passed away from natural causes.
• At Beer Can Alley and Shannon Hill Rd. A 17-year-old female was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol. The female was released on a Virginia Uniform Summons by the officer. She was released to an adult family member. A report was written to document the incident.
• On Owens Creek Rd at Owens Creek Corner Store, break and enter to the business with the larceny of items. A report was written and the incident is under investigation.
• On Alex Dr, DOA. A death investigation was done and a report was taken for a male that passed away from natural causes.

December 13
• On Bunnys Trl, domestic. A 23-year-old male was arrested and charged with assault and battery after officers responded to a trespassing complaint at his residence. He was later released on a $1,500 unsecured bond by the magistrate. An emergency protective order was issued and served on both parties. A report was written to document the incident.
• Reported at Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, citizen assist fraud. A male reported that someone attempted to lure him into a check fraud incident. The complainant did not become a victim but wanted it to be logged. A report was written to document this incident.
• On Kentucky Springs Rd, larceny from a commercial structure. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.
• On Three Notch Rd, larceny of groceries from a residence. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.

December 12
• At Moody Town Rd and Eastham Rd, traffic stop. A 57-year-old male was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after he was pulled over on traffic stop. The male was released on a $1,500 unsecure bond by the magistrate but held until sober. He was transported to the Central Virginia Regional Jail. A report was written to document the incident.
• On Kents Mill Rd, fraud. A female reported a credit card fraud. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.
• On Mt Hope Church Rd, narcotics. A 27-year-old female was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a complaint was received from the residence. She was released on a $3,500 unsecured bond by the magistrate. A report was written to document the incident.

December 10

• On New Bridge Rd, assault. A report was received about an assault that occurred at this residence. The suspect had left the scene prior to arrival of law enforcement. Warrants were later obtained for the suspect by the responding officer. The suspect was later arrested and charged with two counts of assault along with possessing a firearm after being declared a convicted felon. He was released on a $5000 secured bond by the magistrate. A report was written documenting the incident.
• On Bethany Church Rd, assault. A 28-year-old male was arrested and charged with malicious wounding and assault after officers responded to the residence for a call reporting the disturbance. The male subject was held without bond and transported to the Central Virginia Regional Jail. A report was written documenting the incident.
• On East Old Mountain Rd, rescue needed. A dog owner was bitten by his own dog when he tried to break up a fight between his two dogs. The complainant was checked out by rescue. A report was written to document the incident.
• On Poindexter Rd, vandalism to a fence. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.
• On Klockner Rd, larceny of a chainsaw. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.
• On Camp Creek Pkwy at Walmart, hit and run. A female reported that her vehicle was struck while she was inside the store shopping and the suspect left the area. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.
• On Signboard Rd, larceny of a vehicle antenna. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.
• Reported at Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, citizen assist larceny. A female reported a larceny of groceries from her home. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.
• On W Jack Jouett Rd, missing person. A female reported an adult male missing. Contact was eventually made with the male subject and he verified to be okay. A report was written documenting the incident.

December 9
• On Zion Rd, animal control complaint. A dog taken into custody by animal control after it attacked another dog causing severe injuries. The owner of the dog in custody was notified. A report was written documenting the incident.
• On James Madison Hwy at Burger King, disorderly. An 80-year-old male was arrested for drunk in public after units responded to the business for a disorderly complaint. He was released on a Virginia Uniform Summons for the offense and was taken to the hospital to be medically evaluated. A report was written to document the incident.
• On Porter Town Rd , disorderly. A 49-year-old male was arrested for drunk in public after units responded to his residence for a report of a disorderly. The male was held until sober by the magistrate and was transported to the Central Virginia Regional Jail. A report was written documenting the incident.
• On Davis Hwy at Louisa County High School, larceny of tag decals taken from both license plates taken from a vehicle in the parking lot. A report was taken and the incident is being investigated.
• At Owens Creek Rd and Cross County Rd, traffic stop. A 38-year-old male was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after he was pulled over on a traffic stop. The male was released on a $5,000 unsecure bond by the magistrate to a family member because his blood alcohol content level dropped while waiting for his hearing with the magistrate. A report was written to document the incident.
• On Courthouse Rd, mental person. Officers responded to the scene for a report of a suicidal male subject who fled the residence armed with two knives. A bloodhound was called out to track the suicidal male. While tracking, the bloodhound was attacked by another dog and was injured. The trail was discontinued because of the injuries sustained. A physical search was continued by officers to locate the male but they were unsuccessful. A report was written to document the events that occurred.

December 8

• Reported at Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, citizen assist missing person. A female reported an adult female missing. A report was written and the missing female was entered into NCIC/VCIN.
• On Gardners Rd, larceny of a firearm. A report was taken and this incident is under investigation.
• On Mountain View, missing person. A female reported an adult male missing. A report was written and the missing female was entered into NCIC/VCIN.
• At Louisa Ave and Zachary Taylor Hwy, traffic stop. A 16-year-old male was issued a Virginia Uniform Summons for possession of marijuana after the marijuana was located in his vehicle following a traffic stop. The male was released. A report was written to document the incident.
• On S Lakeshore Dr, welfare check. A female was found deceased in her home after a welfare check was requested. A death investigation was done and a report was written to document the incident.
