Benefit bingo for Louisa coach

Women of the Moose #1850 will host a benefit bingo for Louisa Varsity Head Coach Mark Fischer on Dec. 6 at its facility, located on School Bus Road.   • Community Chorus readies for concerts

    Members of the Louisa Community Chorus are rehearsing diligently to prepare the music for this year’s concert.  The concert is entitled “With A Song In My Heart” and will feature the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein, as well as spirituals, jazz and “Let it Go” from the Disney movie “Frozen.” The concerts will be held at Louisa United Methodist Church on Friday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov.

  • Blue Knights help child with third annual bike ride

    The third annual Evan Adams Memorial Benefit Ride kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Court Café and Pub in the town of Louisa at 9 a.m. to raise money to help a six-year-old boy with neurogenic bladder syndrome and kidney reflux. Leland Crickenberger went for a  routine visit to his doctor in October of 2012 and was diagnosed shortly afterward. He underwent three surgeries to track the progress

Shriners to hold festival

Each year, the 40-member KENA Patriot’s Shrine Club aims to donate more than $12,000 to the 22 Shriners Hospitals across the country.
