      A Louisa County blood drive will be conducted  by The American Red Cross, assisted  by the Sacred Hearts Council of the Knights of Columbus, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Parish Hall of St. Jude Catholic Church, 1937 Davis Highway – halfway between Louisa and Mineral on Rt. 22.       8:00 am – 3:30 pm

      Louisa County Parks, Rec and Tourism is partnering with Spotsylvania County for the Rt. 208 Sale Trail Sept. 12 and 13 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The route will span on Rt. 208 from Rt. 522 at Dickinson’s Store for approximately 30 miles into Spotsylvania County.       Baby Time is held at the Louisa County Public Library each Thrusday at 10:20 a.m.  The program is designed for children ages 2 and younger.

      Preschool Storytime is held at the Louisa County Public Library each Thursday at 10:30 a.m.  The program is designed for children ages 3  through 5 and includes fun time of stories, songs, flannel boards and learning.

      The Clean Community Commission will hold its regular meeting at 5 p.m. in the Betty J. Queen Intergenerational Center Conference Room. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

    1. Do What You Want Craft Group
      3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      Do What You Want Craft Group meets  at the Louisa Public Library at 3 p.m. Do you knit, bead, make rugs, hand stitch or do any kind of handicraft?  Come join us to share ideas, show off your work and get another crafter’s eye and perception.  Chat and meet your neighbors while you work on your craft.  Bring any project you’re working on, or come just to be inspired. All ages and levels of experience welcome. Call or visit the library for details.

      NARFE will meet at 11:30 a.m. at the Michie House near the Sergeant Museum in Louisa with lunch available.  All active and retired federal employees and their guests are welcome.     2. Community outreach lunch
      12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

      Servants of Christ Baptist Church will be host a free community outreach lunch at noon. Participants will enjoy turkey/ham sandwiches, chips, cookies and a drink. The church is located at 60 Sommerfield Drive, Zion Crossroads, Rt. 15N, next to Virginia Credit Union and across from Spring Creek.
