      Servants of Christ Baptist Church will host a free lunch community outreach from noon until 1:30 p.m. The meal will consist of spaghetti, salad and a drink.  The church is located at 60 Sommerfield Drive at Zion X Roads, next to UVA Community Credit Union. Look for the sign.

    2. The Artists of Blue Ridge Shores
      12:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      The Artists of Blue Ridge Shores will have a display in The Purcell Gallery of Louisa Arts Center through March 20. Gallery Hours are Monday through Friday, 12 until 4 p.m. The Arts Center is located at 212 Fredericksburg Avenue, Louisa. For more information, call (540) 967-2200.

    3. Strength training session
      7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Louisa Baptist Church has added a strength training session on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. Have a yoga mat, bring it along, if not, the church has extras.  Exercise not only improves your physical health, it improves a person’s emotional state and increases energy levels.  Remember to consult adoctor before starting any new exercise program.  All ladies in the community are welcome and there is no cost associated with this outing.

    1. Fish Dinner
      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      St. Jude Catholic Church will hold its fish dinners through the season of lent from 4:30 until 7:00 p.m. Carry-out only meals will consist of fried or baked fish or shrimp, hush puppies, french fries or mac and cheese, cole slaw or applesauce and a dessert. Adult dinners are $9 for fish and $10 for shrimp. Children’s dinners are $4 for no fish, $5 for fish and $6 for shrimp. Additional fish or shrimp may be added to orders for $2 and $3 respectively. The church is located at 1937 Davis Highway, Mineral.

    1. Hidden history and African-American cemeteries in Central Virginia
      2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

      Hidden history and African-American cemeteries in Central Virginia will be presented from 2 until 3 p.m. by Dr. Lynn Rainville as participants learn information crucial to the stories of the black families who lived and worked there for over 200 years. Dr. Rainville’s findings shed light on family genealogies, the rise and fall of segregation, and attitudes toward religion and death. Free.  Louisa County Historical Society Museum, 214 Fredericksburg Avenue, Louisa.

      USCG Auxiliary Flotilla 87 will hold its February fellowship meeting for anyone interested in learning more about or promoting safe recreational boating on Lake Anna.
