    1. The Artists of Blue Ridge Shores

      The Artists of Blue Ridge Shores will have a display in The Purcell Gallery of Louisa Arts Center through March 20. Gallery Hours are Monday through Friday, 12 until 4 p.m. The Arts Center is located at 212 Fredericksburg Avenue, Louisa. For more information, call (540) 967-2200.

    2. Strength training session
      7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Louisa Baptist Church has added a strength training session on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. Have a yoga mat, bring it along, if not, the church has extras.  Exercise not only improves your physical health, it improves a person’s emotional state and increases energy levels.  Remember to consult adoctor before starting any new exercise program.  All ladies in the community are welcome and there is no cost associated with this outing.

      Native Plants will be presented by CVMG Repp Glaettiat the Louisa County Public Library, 881 Davis Highway, Mineral from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Learn the basics of using Piedmont Native Plants including where to buy them, when they bloom, how to match plant varieties andhow to turn a garden into a pollinator habitat.       A Taste of India Family Event will be held at 3 p.m. at Louisa County Public Library, 881 Davis Highway, Mineral. Enjoy an afternoon of fun and a dive into traditional Indian culture with food, dancing, crafts and an interactive henna demonstration. All ages. Part of the Big Read.

      Tuesday Evening Book Discussion Group will meet at 7 p.m. at Louisa County Public Library to discuss “The Namesake” by Jhumpa Lahiri. The story is a portrait of the immigrant experience that follows the Ganguli family from their traditional life in India through their arrival in Massachusetts in the late 1960s and their difficult melding into an American way of life. Part of the Big Read.
