      Do What You Want Craft Group meets  at the Louisa Public Library at 3 p.m. Do you knit, bead, make rugs, hand stitch or do any kind of handicraft?  Come join us to share ideas, show off your work and get another crafter’s eye and perception.  Chat and meet your neighbors while you work on your craft.  Bring any project you’re working on, or come just to be inspired.       A farmers’ market will be held at Ebenezer Methodist Church, 3092 Oakland Rd., Louisa, from 8 a.m. until noon. Set up a table at no charge.  Produce, country eggs, plants, jelly, pickles, baked goods, homemade bread, local honey.   UMW bake sale will be held to benefit missions.  Breakfast and more.  Call Susan Fletcher for information at (540) 967-1407.

      Mineral United Methodist Church, 301 West Third St., Mineral, will hold a Christmas in July yard sale from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. featuring crafts, jewelry, books, toys, flower arrangements, kitchen and consignment items will be for sale inside the fellowship hall. Homemade coffee cake, burgers, hot dogs, and drinks will be available. Proceeds will benefit charities such as ARC, Hospice, Habitat for Humanity, the Food Band, and the Santa Council.       Cultivating the Kitchen Apothecary will be held at the Sargeant Museum, 214 Fredericksburg Ave., Louisa, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Historically, culinary and medicinal herbs have shared space on kitchen shelves the world over, yet much of the practical wisdom so common to generations past about how to effectively use our nutritional allies has been forgotten. Rediscover the treasures that await as we learn to cultivate our very own kitchen apothecaries with Adrienne Young-Ramsey of “Backyard Revolution.” Materials fee is $13 Call (540) 967-4420 to register.
