      Louisa Baptist Church has added a strength training session on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. Have a yoga mat, bring it along, if not, the church has extras.  Exercise not only improves your physical health, it improves a person’s emotional state and increases energy levels.  Remember to consult adoctor before starting any new exercise program.  All ladies in the community are welcome and there is no cost associated with this outing.

      Lake Anna Rescue, Inc. will hold a salt herring breakfast, for donations only, from 7 until 10 a.m. The menu will consist of salt herring, bacon, sausage, gravy, homemade biscuits, eggs cooked to order, drink and more. LARI is located at 300 Bumpass Road, Bumpass.

      Registration begins for Food Fear Factor at the Louisa County Library. Would you munch on a bug? Do you enjoy trying bizarre foods? Join us for a fun food competition where you can compete and eat some strange and possibly scary foods. Grades 6-12. Registration is required for the April 17, 3:30 p.m. event.

      Baby Time is held at the Louisa County Public Library each Thrusday at 10:20 a.m.  The program is designed for children ages 2 and younger.

    1. Ham and Oyster Dinner
      7:00 am – 7:00 pm

      Belmont Ruritan Club and Belmont Club of Women’s annual Ham and Oyster Dinner will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Belmont Community Center, 7124 Belmont Road, Mineral, on April 18. Advance tickets are required and are $15 for adults and $8 for children ages six through 12. Menu consists of ham, deep fried oysters, side dishes, homemade pies and beverages.       B.Y.O.C. – Bring Your Own Craft. Do you knit, bead, make rugs, hand stitch or do any kind of handcraft? Come to share ideas, show off your work and get another crafter’s eye and perception. Chat and meet your neighbors while you work on your craft. Bring any project you’re working on, or come just to be inspired. All ages and levels of experience welcome.
