Do What You Want Craft Group meets at the Louisa Public Library at 3 p.m. Do you knit, bead, make rugs, hand stitch or do any kind of handicraft? Come join us to share ideas, show off your work and get another crafter’s eye and perception. Chat and meet your neighbors while you work on your craft. Servants of Christ Baptist Church will be host a free community outreach lunch at noon. Participants will enjoy turkey/ham sandwiches, chips, cookies and a drink. The church is located at 60 Sommerfield Drive, Zion Crossroads, Rt. 15N, next to Virginia Credit Union and across from Spring Creek.

The Millennium Movers, the Performing Arts 2000 dance show team, will hold a car wash and yard sale from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Kenny’s Central Tire & Auto on Main Street in Louisa. The dance team is fundraising for upcoming dance competitions.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will participate in the Handcart Pioneer Food Drive. Residents in the towns of Louisa and Mineral who would like to participate should place non-perishable food on the porch with the flyer previously distributed. The third annual Evan Adams Memorial Benefit Ride will begin registration at 9 a.m. at Court Cafe & Pub and the Blue Knights VA III and VA XXMC. This year’s ride will be for Leland Crickenberger who has been diagnosed with neurogenic bladder syndrome and kidney reflux. The cost is $20 per bike, $5 per passenger. The Louisa County Sheriff’s office, in coordination with the Transportation Safety Commission, will offer a free Child Seat Check Station from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Zion Crossroads Walmart, 164 Camp Creek Parkway, Gordonsville.
