    1. Zumba Explosion
      10:00 am – 11:00 am

      Mt. Hope Baptist Church All for Christ Youth Ministry will hold a Zumba Explosion at 10 a.m. Instruction will be provided by Candice Braxton, Zumba instructor and certified health counselor. The class is a $5 donation for an hour of fun, dancing and moving. Work out at your own pace. The church is located at 5501 Paynes Mill Road, Bumpass.

    2. James River Woodcarvers Club
      1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      The James River Woodcarvers Club will sponsor a carve-in from 1 until 4 p.m. at Louisa United Methodist Church, 100 E. Main Street, Louisa.  Anyone interested in learning more about the art of wood carving and wood burning, are encouraged to attend.     3. Missions Palooza
      6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

      Mechanicsville Baptist Church will hold a Missions Palooza from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. An evening of fun, for the whole family, silent auction, cake auction, a “Not So Newlywed Game,” and free refreshments. All auction proceeds will support missions projects, including Impact Virginia. The church is located at 10200 Louisa Road,  Gordonsville. For more information, call (540) 832-3962.

      Baby Time is held at the Louisa County Public Library each Thrusday at 10:20 a.m.  The program is designed for children ages 2 and younger.

      Preschool Storytime is held at the Louisa County Public Library each Thursday at 10:30 a.m.  The program is designed for children ages 3  through 5 and includes fun time of stories, songs, flannel boards and learning.

      6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      Getting Started at PVCC will be held at Louisa County Public Library at 6:30 p.m. and will feature Denise McClanahan, PVCC outreach manager. She will discuss PVCC degrees and certificates (many you can complete in less than two years), resources to help you succeed in the classroom and beyond, PVCC placement tests (receive free practice test materials!) and financial aid opportunities. Chat and meet your neighbors while you work on your craft. Bring any project you’re working on, or come just to be inspired. All ages and levels of experience welcome. Call or visit the library for details. Meets every Wednesday at 2 p.m.
