      Preschool Storytime is held at the Louisa County Public Library each Thursday at 10:30 a.m.  The program is designed for children ages 3  through 5 and includes fun time of stories, songs, flannel boards and learning.

      3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      Do What You Want Craft Group meets  at the Louisa Public Library at 3 p.m. Do you knit, bead, make rugs, hand stitch or do any kind of handicraft?  Come join us to share ideas, show off your work and get another crafter’s eye and perception.  Chat and meet your neighbors while you work on your craft.  Bring any project you’re working on, or come just to be inspired. All ages and levels of experience welcome. Call or visit the library for details.

      11:00 am – 4:00 pm

      True Apostolic Church of Christ will hold a fish fry featuring fish, corn bread, choice of two sides including potato salad, string beans and coleslaw, desert and beverage. Dinners will be available from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at $9 each. Orders may be placed by calling (301 639-8460. The church is located at 6831 Fredericks Hall Rd., Mineral. Proceeds will benefit the church’s building fund.

    1. Golden Age Club
      10:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The Golden Age Club will meet at 10 a.m. at the Betty Queen Center for an introduction to Tai Chi. Meghan Bryant, master trainer for the Tai Chi Health Institute, will teach some beginner moves designed to enhance quality of life through improvement in mobility, breathing and relaxation. She will also demonstrate various advanced routines. Participation is optional but encouraged. Mats are not needed. The group will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. at the Pizza Hut in Louisa.

      A Louisa County blood drive will be conducted  by The American Red Cross, assisted  by the Sacred Hearts Council of the Knights of Columbus, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Parish Hall of St. Jude Catholic Church, 1937 Davis Highway – halfway between Louisa and Mineral on Rt. 22.     2. Rt. 208 Sale Trail
      8:00 am – 3:30 pm

      Louisa County Parks, Rec and Tourism is partnering with Spotsylvania County for the Rt. 208 Sale Trail Sept. 12 and 13 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The route will span on Rt. 208 from Rt. 522 at Dickinson’s Store for approximately 30 miles into Spotsylvania County.
