    1. Car wash and yard sale
      8:00 am – 2:00 pm

      The Millennium Movers, the Performing Arts 2000 dance show team, will hold a car wash and yard sale from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Kenny’s Central Tire & Auto on Main Street in Louisa.  The dance team is fundraising for upcoming dance competitions.

    2. Handcart Pioneer Food Drive
      8:00 am – 12:00 pm

      The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will participate in the Handcart Pioneer Food Drive. Residents in the towns of Louisa and Mineral who would like to participate should place non-perishable food on the porch with the flyer previously distributed. Members of the church will come by to pick up the donation for the Louisa Community Cupboard. For more information, contact Steve Swarthout at (804) 920-5547.

      Handcart Pioneer Food Drive
    3. Evan Adams Memorial Benefit Ride
      9:00 am – 6:00 pm

      The third annual Evan Adams Memorial Benefit Ride will begin registration at 9 a.m. at Court Cafe & Pub and the Blue Knights VA III and VA XXMC. This year’s ride will be for Leland Crickenberger who has been diagnosed with neurogenic bladder syndrome and kidney reflux. The cost is $20 per bike, $5 per passenger.       Evan Adams Memorial Benefit Ride
    4. Child Seat Check Station
      10:00 am – 2:00 pm

      The Louisa County Sheriff’s office, in coordination with the Transportation Safety Commission, will offer a free Child Seat Check Station from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Zion Crossroads Walmart,  164 Camp Creek Parkway, Gordonsville.  Certified technicians will be available to provide free hands-on child safety seat inspections and advice.  For more information, contact (540) 223-8348.  Buckle up Virginia!

    5. Dance and soccer clinics
      10:00 am – 12:30 pm

      Louisa Baptist Church will be provide both dance and soccer clinics for children ages 7 and older from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. for at no charge.  The dance instruction will include hip-hop, jazz and ballet.  Those attending the soccer clinic should bring any soccer gear they may have, such as shin guards and cleats.  For more information, contact the church office at (540) 967-1364.  The church is located at 305 E.       Louisa County Faith in ACTION Committee will hold a Mini Gathering for faith-based groups and others interested in meeting community needs from 9:00 until 11:30 a.m. in the extension office conference room located on the second floor of the Louisa County Administration Building, 1 Woolfolk Ave., Louisa.  Discussions will focus on the possibility of a county-wide church fund, thrift store options and a centralized online resource for church-related information.
