      Preschool Storytime is held at the Louisa County Public Library each Thursday at 10:30 a.m.  The program is designed for children ages 3  through 5 and includes fun time of stories, songs, flannel boards and learning.

      The Louisa Arts Center, in partnership with Louisa County Parks, Recreation and Tourism, will present Family Fun Movies at 7 p.m. This week’s presentation will be “Frozen.” Adult tickets are $3, children tickets are $2 at the door.

    1. Do What You Want Craft Group
      3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      Do What You Want Craft Group meets  at the Louisa Public Library at 3 p.m. Do you knit, bead, make rugs, hand stitch or do any kind of handicraft?  Come join us to share ideas, show off your work and get another crafter’s eye and perception.  Chat and meet your neighbors while you work on your craft.  Bring any project you’re working on, or come just to be inspired. All ages and levels of experience welcome. Call or visit the library for details.

    1. Town Hall Meeting
      11:00 am – 12:30 pm

      A staff member from Senator Mark Warner’s office will be in Louisa County Administration Building,   1 Woolfork Avenue, Louisa, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The Warner staffer will meet with constituents who have specific issues dealing with certain federal agencies, such as but not limited to the IRS, Medicare, Social Security, or United States Postal Service.  For more information, visit warner.senate.gov.

    1. Salt Herring Breakfast
      7:00 am – 10:30 am

      Lake Anna Rescue, Inc. will hold a salt herring breakfast, for donations only, from 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The menu will consist of salt herring, bacon, sausage, eggs (cooked to your liking), homemade biscuits, sausage gravy, potatoes and beverages.       Church of the Incarnation will hold the Community Table at 5 p.m. Sundays through Aug. 10. Get to know your neighbors better and enjoy a good meal at the same time. Available fresh seasonal produce will be shared. This is a free meal. The church is located at the corner of Louisa Avenue and E. Lee Streets in Mineral, just a block from theMineral Fire Department.       The Mineral Historic Foundation will host Mondays Remembering Mineral from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the old Mineral Baptist Church. This month’s presentation will feature Doug Whitlock who will share information about tax credits for restoring historic homes and buildings.
