    1. World War I Flying Aces

World War I Flying Aces  will be presented at the Louisa County Historical Society Museum, 214 Fredericksburg Avenue, Louisa, from 10 a.m. until noon. A flying ace was described as a military aviator credited with shooting down five or more aircraft in combat. Deemed “Knights of the Air” by some, these young pilots were viewed as celebrities in their respective countries and their acts of bravery in their revolutionary machines were often the source of inspiration for the soldiers on the ground. Abby Whitlock returns to talk about this exciting chapter in the Great War. Free.
