    2. Fish dinners
      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      St. Jude Catholic Church will hold its fish dinners through the season of Lent from 4:30 until 7:00 p.m. Carry-out only meals will consist of fried or baked fish or shrimp, hush puppies, french fries or mac and cheese, cole slaw or applesauce and a dessert. Adult dinners are $9 for fish and $10 for shrimp. Children’s dinners are $4 for no fish, $5 for fish and $6 for shrimp. Additional fish or shrimp may be added to orders for $2 and $3 respectively. The church is located at 1937 Davis Highway, Mineral.

      4:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      Lake Anna Rescue, Inc. will hold its annual fish dinner from 4:30 until 8:00 p.m., dine-in or carry-out. Menu will consist of baked or fried flounder or catfish platter, $8; shrimp platter, $8; fish sandwich, $5; or one hamburger or two hot dogs, $6. All platters come with two sides, dessert, bread and beverage. Sides include mac and cheese, baked potato, french fries, or cole slaw.       Our Pollinators Are in Trouble: Who are they, what’s their role, and how can we help them? will be presented by CVMG Ruth Douglas at the Louisa County Public Library, 881 Davis Highway, Mineral from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Learn about the basics of pollination, contributing factors in the decline of pollinators, how to establish a pollinator habitat and how to help them.     2. Zumba Explosion
      10:00 am – 11:00 am

      Mt. Hope Baptist Church All for Christ Youth Ministry will hold a Zumba Explosion at 10 a.m. Instruction will be provided by Candice Braxton, Zumba instructor and certified health counselor. The class is a $5 donation for an hour of fun, dancing and moving. Work out at your own pace. The church is located at 5501 Paynes Mill Road, Bumpass.

    3. James River Woodcarvers Club
      1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      The James River Woodcarvers Club will sponsor a carve-in from 1 until 4 p.m. at Louisa United Methodist Church, 100 E. Main Street, Louisa.  Anyone interested in learning more about the art of wood carving and wood burning, are encouraged to attend.     4. Missions Palooza
      6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

      Mechanicsville Baptist Church will hold a Missions Palooza from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. An evening of fun, for the whole family, silent auction, cake auction, a “Not So Newlywed Game,” and free refreshments.
