The Louisa Virginia Tea Party will meet at 7 p.m. at the Louisa County Public Library with guest speaker Russ Moulton, a well known conservative, activist leader in Virginia politics since 1989. He has worked/led many campaigns including those of Bryce Reeves and Ken Cuccinelli, and championed many state wide government issues. He is the founder and president of JRM Technologies. He graduated summa cum laude from the US Naval Academy with a BS in physics; earned a masters in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania; and has served nearly 20 years in the Naval Reserve. He is married to Theresa Moulten and has three children.
The Golden Age Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. for lunch at CJ’s Steak and Ale Restaurant on Route 208 at Lake Anna just over the second bridge in Spotsylvania County.
The Louisa County Ruritan Club will hold its semi-annual barbecued chicken dinner with pick up between 4:00 and 6:30 p.m. at the Mineral Volunteer Fire Department. Dinners are $8 each and include one-half chicken, baked beans, potato salad, roll and dessert. Fourteen-year-old Justis Bratt will be in concert at 4:30 p.m. at the Louisa Arts Center, 212 Fredericksburg Av., Louisa, for “No More Bullying.” Her music is aimed at her peers offering uplifting messages to help youth find positive solutions and social changes. Tickets are $7 for students.
